I teamed up with Justin Delaine aka Jeun to create comics to tell his story as a black and Korean autistic man with a feisty immigrant grandma and a very supportive family. The goal of the cartoons is to make people laugh while spreading awareness about Autism and Asperger's. Please check out his page on Facebook:

The comics are below!
This is Jeun, along with his feisty Korean grandma and his mom.
"Halmonie," Korean for "grandma" loves to cook for Jeun and tends to overfeed him sometimes
Jeun asks his father to take him on long rides to Atlanta so he can listen to music and daydream. One of his therapists called this "stimming". Riding in the car is very relaxing to him.
When Jeun was young, his mom told him to wait until there were NO moving cars before crossing the street. Recently, he learned that sometimes it is okay to go ahead and cross
Autistic people often have excellent hearing! Juen says that is why many will cover their eyes or wear headphones in case there is a loud noise. In this story, Jeun could hear his brother whispering to their mom from far away.
Jeun wants people to know that sometimes autistic people show excitement differently. When his friend from preschool found him online, Jeun's mom thought he wasn't happy about it, but really he was very happy on the inside.
